The Story

I've never been able to keep up with my own ideas. I'd think through an entire system — the architecture, the edge cases, the second-order effects — and by the time I sat down to build, three other ideas would rush in.

The technological waves of my adult life — social media, smartphones, crypto — didn't help me express what I wanted. I studied architecture and construction. I built furniture. The problems I was drawn to lived in the physical world — how buildings shape communities, how a chair changes a room, how personal mobility empowers exploration and openness beyond your virtual world.

I was skeptical when GPT launched. Marvelous technology, but the world's obsession with chatbots missed the point. Then I read about a small model maker that built the best coding agent, and you could tell the difference. Claude didn't talk at you — it thought with you. And that thinking collaboration gave me trust to share years of thoughts and experiences across global logistics, construction, product strategy, and furniture design.

The constraint has always been the brief — making coffee tables out of cardboard, duct-taping tabletop mockups onto the wall. Now the constraint is how well I can describe what I envision and clearly orchestrate the model to embody how I work — and evaluate not based on appearances, but in the way it brings value to others.

I'm energized to take part in this change. How my two-year-old will one day say, "Do you remember that OG LLM Claude? So outdated, but so thoughtful."

This is the record of my practice.

Operating Tenets

How I make decisions. When two paths diverge, these break the tie.

  1. 01 Build from zero. Identify the core primitives and build lasting, extensible foundations.
  2. 02 The constraint is the brief. It breeds creativity and truly unique solutions.
  3. 03 Intention as cornerstone. The reason is the most important element of any decision.
  4. 04 Simplicity is timeless. Strip away complexity until the solution feels like it's always existed.
  5. 05 Narrative over information. Learn through anecdotes and find the cause and effect.
  6. 06 Leave the system better. Think beyond the transaction. Every interaction should compound value — upstream, downstream, and for everyone in the chain.
  7. 07 Respect and empower users. Build to increase human agency and opportunity.
